Persimmon Wessex - presentation of donation to Malmesbury Victoria Football Club

Persimmon Wessex has selected Malmesbury Victoria FC as its latest Community Champions recipient. As part of their initiative, the region is donating over £6,000 to the local football club which as you know plays a significant role in the community and is a close neighbour of the business.

HEALS of Malmesbury

HEALS make a big difference to a lot of vulnerable individuals and families lives by helping and supporting at times when they most need it. The recent cost of living problems has increased the need for their services dramatically.

Malmesbury Foodbank

The foodbank in Malmesbury was started in 2014 and is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. It serves an area loosely described as Malmesbury and District which covers North Wiltshire, north of the motorway. It is part The Trussell Trust's network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.

Malmesbury Foodbank work with local agencies such as HEALS, Citizens Advice, children's centre and health visitors to provide appropriate help for the circumstances of the individual. This could be an emergency supply of food for 3 days, and long term support if needed to help address some of the issues behind the individual crisis.

MALMESBURY is a vibrant, market town, steeped in history going back to medieval times. Currently home to many famous & popular musical, cultural, and festival events throughout the year, visitors can browse the charming streets with independent retailers, or stop at one of the lively cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars.

Attractions to visit include the stunning 12th century Malmesbury Abbey, 15th century Market Cross and the Athelstan Museum with a painting of Malmesbury Abbey by JMW Turner. There are also lovely walks along the River Avon.
