Nominations are now open for Malmesbury’s Civic Awards

The Civic Awards are awarded to those who, in the judgement of Malmesbury Town Councillor’s, have made the most significant and sustained contribution to our local community in the past year. The area in which the contribution must have been made is Malmesbury, Milbourne, Cowbridge, Burton Hill, Common Road, Foxley Road and Filands.

The Malmesbury Civic Award Categories are:

  • Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged 26 or over)
  • Malmesbury Young Sports Person of the Year - nominations up to 25 years old
  • Young Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged between 16 and 25)
  • Junior Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged under 16)
  • Organisation or Group of the Year
  • 10 Year Service Volunteer Contribution Certificate

Nomination forms can be downloaded below. Copies also available from the TIC or can be emailed upon request.  Please email  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with 'Malmesbury 'Civic Awards' in the title. 

Please return nomination forms by: 12md – Monday 23rd March 2026

The Civic Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday 22nd April 2026 at 7.00pm

MALMESBURY

MALMESBURY is a vibrant, market town, steeped in history going back to medieval times. Currently home to many famous & popular musical, cultural, and festival events throughout the year, visitors can browse the charming streets with independent retailers, or stop at one of the lively cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars.

Attractions to visit include the stunning 12th century Malmesbury Abbey, 15th century Market Cross and the Athelstan Museum with a painting of Malmesbury Abbey by JMW Turner. There are also lovely walks along the River Avon.
