Congratulations! Winner of Best Wiltshire Hotel 2022 goes to The Old Bell Hotel, Malmesbury

On 21 June 2022, exactly a year from the re-opening of The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury, England’s Oldest hotel has been awarded ‘Best Hotel in Wiltshire 2022’. Owned by Texan Entrepreneurs and Malmesbury family descendants, Kim and Whit Hanks, this award for the hotel has been voted by readers of the prestigious Muddy Stilettos guides.

The hotels’ stunning high design interiors, quirky treasures, refurbished unique bedrooms, each with its own character, along with the warm welcome and delicious food and drinks offering, have been created over the past year by Creative Director Kim Hanks, turning the hotel into a popular destination.

In another exciting announcement for the hotel on 21 June, the highly anticipated outdoor Tyger Bar opened to a great response from guests. Named with reference to Hannah Twynnoy, the Malmesbury barmaid killed by a travelling circus Tyger in 1703, the bar has a relaxing, tropical vibe.  It’s the perfect space to enjoy bespoke cocktails, drinks, and delicious food in all weathers with radiant heaters and luxurious blankets for chillier times. The Tyger Bar is open from midday to last orders at 10:30pm daily.

Owners Kim and Whit Hanks commented “ The fact that ‘Best Hotel in Wiltshire 2022’ has been awarded to us just one year from our re-opening means so much to us. We would like to thank everyone who voted and look forward to welcoming you all in our new Tyger Bar soon.”
