Malmesbury Carnival and Festival 2022 Needs You !

Fantastic News!

After two difficult years, a full-blown programme of Carnival Events will take place this Summer, finishing with our showpiece event, Carnival Procession, on Saturday 3rd September.

Open Gardens; the Scarecrow trail; spot the difference competition; a Family Fun Day; Petticoat Lane; Music in the Cloisters together with a host of talks, quizzes, plays and fun activities will make up this year’s Carnival.

In 2020, Carnival was run as a Zoom event and in 2021 we ran a reduced programme with no Procession. We feel that it is up to us the Malmesbury Community, to not only ensure that a full Carnival takes place in 2022 but to help make it a great occasion for everyone.

Event planning is well in hand but the success of Carnival will depend entirely on the support of the whole Community.

We need people, once again, to commit hours and ingenuity on building floats; as they have done for years. We need volunteers to come forward for the myriad tasks which need to be done if Carnival is to succeed.

If you can spare some time and want to join in, no matter how little you can give, please get in contact with us via our web site. Better still, we would love to see you at our Malmesbury Carnival Launch evening on Wednesday May 25th at the Town Hall between 7.30 and 8.30 pm.

So, let’s get together, join in and help make this year’s Carnival a real success. We look forward to seeing you.
