St Aldhelm's Mead

St Aldhelm's Mead is a Malmesbury Town Council-owned recreation and leisure park which includes a large football ground and children's play area including a 'zip wire'. Features include: Football Pitch, Large and Small Children's Play Area, Inclusive Play Equipment, Disability Friendly Access, Picnic Tables, Benches, Footpaths, Toilets, Zip Wire and Outdoor Gym Equipment. In 2013 Malmesbury Town Council registered the park, together with the next door Cucking Stool Mead, as 'Fields in Trust' which has given lasting protection for these spaces to remain as a free, open recreational areas in the Town.

Cloister Gardens

The Cloister Garden is a tranquil garden to the north (rear) of the Abbey and was created in 1980. The Cloister Garden is leased & maintained by Malmesbury Town Council and is available to hire for events. Disability Friendly, Benches, Paths.

Newnton Grove Recreation Park

This park is managed by Malmesbury Town Council and is aimed at younger children.

Filands Community Park

This new park had thousands of pounds of play equipment installed during September 2011. Designed by a local Residents' Group in partnership with Wiltshire Council.

Jubilee Gardens

Fantastic views of the Malmesbury River Valley and Conservation Area. 5 park benches and sensitive planting. Disability access restricted due to steep steps. This area is maintained by the Civic Trust.

Conygre Mead

Conygre Mead is a nature reserve which provides a peaceful haven of some 2.58 hectares for hundreds of different wildlife species and flora.  It is managed by the Malmesbury River Valleys Trust.

Reeds Farm Recreation Park

This park is managed by Malmesbury Town council and features the following facilities: Small Football Pitch, Large and Small Children's Play Area, Inclusive Play Equipment, Disability Friendly Picnic Tables, Benches, Footpaths.

Cuckingstool Mead

Managed by Malmesbury Town Council, this beautiful, natural and unspoiled green space has two picnic benches. In 2013 Malmesbury Town Council registered Cuckingstool Mead as a QEII 'Field in Trust', along with the neighbouring St. Aldhelm's Mead and which has given lasting protection for this space to remain as a free, open recreational area in the Town. In June 2022 to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Malmesbury Town Council along with many other locations across the country, celebrated with the lighting of a beacon especially made for the occasion. The Beacon is currently in Cuckingstool Mead.

White Lion Recreation Park

White Lion Park is managed by Malmesbury Town Council. In 2013 Malmesbury Town Council registered the park as a QEII 'Field in Trust' which has given lasting protection for this space to remain as a free, open recreational area in the Town. 2 Football Pitches, Large and Small Children's Play Areas, Inclusive play Equipment, Disability Friendly Access, Picnic Tables, Benches and Footpaths

Holloway Hill Park

Lovely little space with sensitive planting and two bench seats, maintained by Malmesbury Town Council.
