Other Committees and Groups

In addition to the main Town Council committees, there are other sub committees, working parties and task groups which are linked to the Council.

Some are autonomous and have dedicated websites of their own and others work under the umbrella of the Council and are described here.

Malmesbury & District Community Transport Group

A local community transport charity serving Malmesbury and the surrounding area, Malmesbury & District Community Transport Group provides accessible, affordable transport for elderly and often vulnerable individuals, taking them to and from the day centre at Athelstan House in Malmesbury. The day centre provides valuable social and healthcare facilities as well as an all-important lunch for its users.

If you or a relative is receiving day care at Athelstan House and need transport, please get in touch with Phil Rice on 01666 824007 or 07979 694981, via the contact form on their web site by clicking HERE.

Malmesbury Town Team

The Malmesbury Town Team was set up in 2014 as a direct result of the decision to allow the Waitrose store development.
The Town Team is a group of volunteers representing various Malmesbury bodies including our Town Council, Residents Association, Abbey, Wiltshire Councillor and various individuals with retail commercial backgrounds. We exist to promote trade in our town, encouraging local residents and visitors alike to shop, eat and drink locally.
