Wiltshire Council News & COVID-19 Update 30 June

Latest Wiltshire COVID-19 cases

The number of cases in Wiltshire continues to be below the national average but has increased again this week.

The rate of cases per 100,000 has gone from 28.4 to 44.4

It’s vital that we all keep following the restrictions.

Please keep washing your hands regularly or sanitising them, wear a face mask where required, socially distance as much as possible, get your first and second dose of the vaccine when offered, and if you have COVID symptoms, please book a test and self-isolate immediately.
Here’s a short video from Director of Public Health Kate Blackburn to provide more context on the COVID-19 situation locally.

Please ‘think twice’ to help reduce COVID-19 cases and enjoy the summer

As COVID-19 case rates have steadily increased in Wiltshire over the last three weeks, it’s really important that we all continue to do what we can to help reduce transmission of the virus.

Please ‘think twice’ about playing your part to keep cases down and avoid missing out on summer plans:
Take a twice weekly lateral flow test if symptom-free.
Two doses of the vaccine – all adults should book and attend both their first and second vaccine dose.
