Wiltshire Council Community Champions COVID-19 Update 12 March

Latest Wiltshire COVID-19 cases

Although the number of cases in Wiltshire is below the national average and rates have fallen again, we still need to keep playing our part.

The rate of cases per 100k has decreased from 78.0 to 41.4.

The sacrifices we're all making are having a very positive impact, so please remember - hands, face, space.

Events organisers should think carefully before planning events

Wiltshire Council are advising event organisers to think carefully about making plans while there is uncertainty over data and what the future holds.

Dropping off and picking up your child from school

When you drop your child at school and pick them up, please don't stop to chat with other parents.

This will help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On the journey to and from school, please remember to observe social distancing.

Thank you for your support.

Remember to shop safely

Heading to the shops this weekend?

Remember your COVID-19 shop safe checklist:

Face with medical mask Wear a face covering

Handshake Sanitise hands

Bread Consider shopping at off peak times (after 6pm)

These steps will help stop the spread of COVID-19.

 After you've had your vaccine

If you've had the COVID-19 vaccine, you could still spread coronavirus.

In order to keep others around you safe, please continue to follow government guidelines including social distancing, wearing a face mask and washing your hands regularly.

Targeted COVID-19 rapid community testing

Rapid symptom-free testing is available for those who work for small businesses, staff at private non-maintained early years settings, childminders and for students who need a lateral flow test before they go back to university.
