Malmesbury Town Hall is a unique building at the heart of Malmesbury. Widely used by clubs, associations, businesses and private individuals, the Town Hall serves a much wider community than just the parish of Malmesbury.
The Town Hall is comprised of five separate buildins that have been joined over time. To the south east is the Market Hall dating from 1846/7. The western part of the Cross Hayes frontage is the Town Hall extension of 1927. To the North West is an ex-Wesleyan Chapel dating from 1886. The offices along Market Lane were rebuilt in the 1920s and 1970s. These were all joined by a central service core in the 1970s.
The Town Hall is now undergoing major refurbishment which will bring a host of changes to the buiilding. For details of what is happening to the Town Hall, visit www.malmesburytownhall.co.uk.
