Following numerous reports over several years from local residents about the dangers of walking along Whychurch Hill because of the volume of traffic and the number of unlawfully and inconsiderately parked vehicles, Malmesbury Town Council in conjunction with Wiltshire Highways and the Malmesbury Area Board have agreed a project to introduce a pedestrian safe route along this road.

As part of the project waiting restrictions are planned to be introduced along this stretch of road via a Road Traffic Order (RTO). This RTO is subject to a consultation which commences on the 12th July and finishes on the 6th August, if you wish to submit a comment to Wiltshire Council you can do so via the link below. A diagram of the proposals can viewed at the Town Hall.
