I am one of the two newest Town Councilors in Malmesbury. I joined in November 2008 and am still learning the ropes. Its a prime time to join the town council as the county transitions into the single unitary council and key projects near completion e.g the Town Hall and the play area at Reads Farm.
We can all be very proud of the Town Hall refurbishment as a centre to the community. It was things like this that made me join the council. Its easy to read about changes that are happening in Malmesbury but its far more interesting to have a hands on approach.
I joined as I am interested in the town as a local community and maintaining the values that are associated with the oldest borough in England.
I am married with a teenage daughter and I have lived in Malmesbury for approximately 12 years and although I currently reside in Baskerville I have lived in Reads Farm, the Horsefair and the Maltings.
I am an Accountant by Trade but have worked in IT for the last 12 years. I pass my spare time on my allotment or playing in a local blues band. |
